Testing

We perform fresh tests in the field to determine concrete
slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature for
compliance with project requirements.

Construction materials testing is not only critical for the viability and safety of structures and construction processes, but a regulatory requirement for all projects. Field testing examines materials for compaction, moisture, air content, and more; and is often followed by or done in conjunction with more in-depth and specific laboratory testing.

All RMA Group labs comply with ASTM E-329 requirements and are inspected bi-annually by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) of the National Bureau of Standards.

In addition to our permanent lab facilities, we offer fully staffed mobile labs rigged according to need (water, power, wi-fi and office equipment) to perform on-site testing and analyses in remote locations.

Structural Steel Quality Test

To ensure that all steel connections meet specified criteria, RMA Company engineers test numerous factors, including hardness, tension, impact, compression, wear, machinability, fatigue, ductility, corrosion, radiography, creep and eddy current. See our complete Materials Testing Services at left.
